Because each parcel is unique, we constantly highlight the best assets of our vineyard, in order to produce typical wines with a unique character, which characterize that of Champagne Sylvie Moreau.
THE CHAMPAGNE
our terroir_

Saint Euphraise et Clairizet
St-Euphraise with its southern exposure, a moderate slope for a majority of our plots, and a very steep terrain for a small part of our vines, our terroir is located on a cold sector with a clay-limestone soil. It allows our vines to maintain fruit with a very good balance, the ratio between the volume of alcohol and acidity is ideal, thanks to optimum sunshine, which gives fresh wines with great aromatic potential.
Area: 1ha38
Grape varieties: Meunier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay
Average age: 40 years
Courmas / Bouilly
With its midday sunshine, slightly sloping and flat terrain, this terroir with its characteristically shallow limestone soil allows us to harvest fully ripe grapes at the end of the harvest, which gives us fruit with a good potential for sugar and aroma.
Area: 0ha46
Grape variety: Meunier
Average age: 40 years

Chaumuzy
Located a few kilometres from St Euphraise, on this south-facing plot, with its damp, clay soil, the Pinot Meunier develops over time. Its grapes reach maturity each year, at the beginning of the harvest, a sign of precocity and a high sugar content.
Area: 0ha18
Grape Variety: Meunier
Average age: 59 years
Lagery
Our parcel of Lagery in the heart of the Ardre Valley, with its south-western exposure, is composed entirely of Pinot Noir. Situated at the bottom of the valley on the edge of the woods, the vineyard is exposed to heavy frosts in winter, but keeps a certain coolness in summer, which allows us to preserve the health of our grapes.
Area: 0ha25
Grape variety: Pinot Noir
Average age: 34 years

Trélou sur Marne / Vincelles
These two villages are located in the heart of the Marne Valley, between Epernay and Château-Thierry.
One plot in the middle of the hillside, with a slight slope and very silty and stony soil, is home to Pinot Meunier.
A second plot, very steep, with deep silty soil and ideal exposure for our Chardonnays,
And a third parcel, at the top of the hillside, on a flat ground, with a southern exposure to plant Pinots Meunier.
This mostly steep terroir gives maximum sunshine to our grapes, and allows a good balance, the Chardonnay expresses all its power here.
Area: 0ha56
Grape varieties: Meunier, Chardonnay
Average age: 19 years
